Bronisław Gubrynowicz and the formation of his research collection in the Research Centre of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Rome

Summary/Abstract: The article attempts to characterise so-called Gubrynowicz’s library, which belonged to Professor Bronisław Gubrynowicz, who in his will bequeathed his it to the Research Centre of the Polish Academy of Learning in Rome (currently the Polish Academy of Sciences). This research resource has not been studied so far. The text includes a brief analysis of the collection and its history from the death of Gubrynowicz to the opening of the library for the public in 1939.
