Summary/Abstract: The heritage of the Sucevița Monastery consists in several collections of manuscripts (Romanian and Slavonic) and ancient printed books. The oldest books come from the donations of the founders: the brothers Gheorghe (the future Metropolitan), Ieremia and Simion Movilă (future reigning Princes). The manuscripts with miniatures and rich ornaments have drawn attention of the specialists, especially of the art historians. In this article, the author began the exploration of the signatures and graphic practices in the collections of this library.
