Summary/Abstract: Bagdad, Iulia Modiga’s debut, is the exclusive result of an anxious background. Her poems, both oriented towards registering the social and intimate tension on the ground of an alienated urban space, have a vital force of the traumas they describe, consequently reflected at a stylistic level. The authenticity of the confession is their first quality, which depicts them as sincere personal `reportages` having the aspect of negative graffiti. Unlike Raluca Leontina Neagu’s debut poems, which give the impression of deriving almost completely from a prudent script, with a theatrical physiognomy which barely touches on the dramatic project they suggest, without truly reaching it.
