Summary/Abstract: In the context of the modification of conceptual-aesthetic paradigms that took place in the decorative arts of the Moldavian SSR in the eighth and ninth decades of the XX century, the creation of the plastic artist Nelly Sajin is relevant both from the point of view of thematic preferences and from the point of view the metamorphoses of the image emerging from the novel interferences between the modalities of morphological shaping of the form, the syntactic methods of compositional structure of the image, and the versatility of the technological modes of operation with the materials. The overall connections of the artistic and material means, consistently promoted by the ceramist in her creation, contributed eminently to the optimization of the aesthetic expression and the amplification of the semantic coordinates of her works. A plastic artist, receptive to the artistic options of the time, Nelly Sajin was passionate about several genres of decorative arts, which decisively influenced her creation. Being well acquainted with the ceramic materials and their aesthetic expression, the artist managed to harmoniously combine the radial shape of pottery with decorative and sculptural-volumetric shapes, creating works of high aesthetic value and vast semantic reverberation.
