Summary/Abstract: In the present paper we analyse the impact of the systemic education policy and education management processes on the Hungarian minority education from a historical point of view, and within it, we monitor the inner education policy and education management practice of the denominational (in our case, Protestant) education based on selforganisation. In the first part of our paper, we briefly outline the background of the denominational education, the effect of the Education Act of 1948. In the second part of the paper, we present today’s possibilities of existence of the denominational schools restarted in the period following the communist regime, broken down into three periods (1990-1996, 1996-2006, 2006-2016), along the new Act on Education as well as their protocol with the ministry.
