Film Adaptation of the Novel the Wedding by Mihailo Lalic in a Context of Propaganda

Summary/Abstract: In the former Yugoslavia numerous screenshots of well-known and lesser known literary works filled the cinema, so did Lalić's novel The Wedding. The aim of this paper is to deal with the internal conceptions of the film strategies of the screening of Lalic's novel The Wedding, and in relation to this, examine the scenario mechanisms of borrowing literary originals, as well as the context in which the film was made.
