Summary/Abstract: Due to its importance, the allegro.pl auction platform seems to be one of the key sites of the Polish Internet. On this platform, many important mechanisms of functioning of e-commerce can be observed. However, the specificity of the auction portal poses serious difficulties. The problem is the heterogeneity of the offered goods. If the data could be properly aggregated, many analyzes would become feasible. The purpose of this article is to try to properly aggregate the category of goods sold on the auction portal. The article points to one “super category” and 2 specific categories that cannot be aggregated.
