The Complex Development Rankings and Dynamics of the Municipalities in Gyöngyösi District

Summary/Abstract: This study is based on two Government Regulations, which are about the delimitation of the beneficiary districts and municipalities in Hungary. We use the indicators included in the Regulations to examine the complex development of the munucipalities in Gyöngyös district. After the literature and the above mentioned regulations, we present the database and methodology of our research and the economic geography and municipality structure of Gyöngyös district. Our research focuses on the rela-tive order of development of the municipalities and the directions of changes in municipalities in the period 2010-2016. At the same time, we also examine the specific causes of economic and social processes that are established in the district. After presenting the results of the group averages and the complex development rankings during the period under review, we draw any conlusions.
