The Concept of Networking Competence of Employees and Validation of Its Measurement Scale

Summary/Abstract: The article presents a concept of networking competence of employees as well as its scale validation. Networking of employees is embedded in the competency perspective of human capital management and responds to the need to deepen the network theory at the ego level. The authors presented the results of the literature analysis, formulated an own concept of networking competence and showed empirical validation of networking competence scale. The material collected in the survey among 1 189 employees was analyzed by confirmatory factor analysis. Its results confirmed the reliability and validity of the 8-element measurement scale of networking competence of employees.
