Summary/Abstract: In the paper, considerations regarding the level of awareness and preparation of family businesses for the implementation of processes related to the introduction of modern information and communication technologies will be undertaken. The main focus is concentrated on showing whether today, in the era of immense transformations related to the development of these technologies, family businesses intend to implement them and whether they are adequately prepared for this. It will be possible to present whether the sphere of family business is trying to look for an advantage in the area of innovation and in this way to deal with the requirements set for family enterprises in the era of ever-growing customer requirements and increasing competition from the other organizations.
