ON-DEMAND ECONOMY AND ITS INFLUENCE ON CITY LOGISTICS

Summary/Abstract: The discussion presented in the paper is meant to show the role which the on-demand economy plays in everyday life in more and more aspects of it. The purpose of the paper is to refer the value of the on-demand economy to city logistics, where there is a special need to share resources and avoid ownership. It is primarily due to the excessive accumulation of certain resources within a limited area, which in essence contributes to the deterioration of the quality of life and doing business in the city by significantly reducing mobility. The author therefore offers his contribution to the discussion on the impact of the on-demand economy on city logistics and its importance for developing a system for the flow of resources within the city environment.
