Summary/Abstract: In Husserl's phenomenology the question of the relationship between consciousness and thing is considered in the intentional analysis of perception. Reality of thing is suspended, reduced, and the perceived becomes x of possible predicates appropriate in its description. The question arises, when consciousness can accept sense: the real, existing thing or how intentional structure of consciousness can make it possible. The article points to a need of a broader context of the system of consciousness in which knowledge of a given object and its type should be harmonized with the actual state of knowledge. It is due to rationally motivated connections of experiences that an object of perception is taken as real.
