Summary/Abstract: The article presents an analysis of legal regulations concerning fundamental models of consumer protection in the foodstuff markets in the EU and the US from the perspective of TTIP negotiations. The study views consumer protection in the foodstuffs market as a common good requiring special protection. As such, it specifically deals with food safety and risk assessment.
