The regional effectivity of usage of production factors: analysis and classification

Summary/Abstract: The main aim of the conducted research was the classification of Polish voivodships according to the effectivity of usage of production factors i.e. capital and labour. The identification of groups of voivodships was based on the analysis of production processes in regions performed by means of concept of economicalness. The production functions with capital and labour as explaining variables have been estimated for each year from 2007 to 2015 separately. The residuals of these models were examined. The authors proposed the modification of the classic approach used in the analysis of economicalness. This new approach allowed to indicate economical and non-economical voivodships and evaluate the influence of the last economic crisis on the level of usage of production factors in the regional scale.
