Summary/Abstract: In the first part, the paper presents the way the section “Peasant Traditional Installations” was structured within the Ethnographic Museum of Moldavia in Iasi, taking also into account items in the same category which are presented in other sectors of the exhibit. Yet the paper focuses on those items exhibited at the first floor of the Palace of Culture, with a special remark of the beam press of Rugionoasa – Iasi, the devices for thickening cloths of of Oantu-Neamt and Dolhasca-Suceava, all of which have a great emotional impact on the visitors. In the second part of the paper, the author evokes suggestions of the visitors for the improvement and modernization of the sector “Installations” and of the permanent exhibit in general. There are presented opinions of renowned personalities of the Romanian museography, which mainly fall into two main groups (the conservative and the modernists) when it comes to establishing the limits up to which a museum institution can be reformed, and therefore pointing out the main arguments of the two “parties”. In the end, several practical solutions are proposed, most of them representing the vistors' input for refreshing the main exhibit so to create a much more dynamic museum in line with the latest evolutions of the worldwide museography, yet respecting the own requirements of the Romanian museographic system, hoping that those in charge of the direction of the museum network as well as those working within the network love at least a little bit their work and understand carrying it out with dedication.
