Assessment of individual and common consumption level in households

Summary/Abstract: The structure of incomes and expenses, including their division into those that may be individually assigned to the members of the household, should be analyzed in the process of household finance management. The aim of this article is to propose methods that would make it possible to identyfy and isolate individual and common consumption. The secondary aim is to construct the tools in such a way that the number of household members and the biological structure of the households are taken into account. In this paper, research on the structure of expenditures is made for different biological types and for different socio-economic groups. Then, original approaches to the estimation of common and individual consumption are proposed. The information about consumption of households, divided according to the criteria of their size and biological structure, is used. The results obtained have shown the significance of taking both the household size and its biological structure into account.
