Summary/Abstract: Effective product lifecycle management system is an important matter for companies manufacturing products of huge complexity. For many companies the main problem of creation of a new product is an access to data of various aspects of the whole process. Implementation of integrated IT environment based on PLM system is a critical factor for managing lifecycle of new products. Purpose of this article is indicating functionalities and benefits of using integrated software based on PLM system. The article shows a review of the literature of the subject and conclusions from the participant observation.
