Risk Reducing Tools Used by unprofessional Traders on the Forex Market

Summary/Abstract: Forex is one of the riskiest segments of the financial market. Until recently it was reserved solely for the biggest financial institutions. For the last two decades however it has also been available for individual (unprofessional) investors. Unfortunately, according to Polish and international statistics, a vast majority of (un)professional traders incur losses. The aim of this paper is to indicate: the types of risks that are associated with investing on the forex market, tools utilized by unprofessional traders for risk hedging, and the consequences of inadequate risk management or complete lack thereof.
