Analysis of Fluctuations in Demand in the Supply Chain Companies in the Fertilizer Industry with the Use of Computer Simulation

Summary/Abstract: This article aims to show the essence of the functioning of the supply chain of the chemical industry in the conditions of variable demand and the impact of the application of computer simulation for the optimization. In the first part of the article the authors made a critical review of the literature and explained the role of computer simulations and the functioning of the supply chain. Further, the essential part of the work presents the model of analyzed supply chain. The aim of this paper is to prove hypothesis that computer simulation allows optimization of the supply chain without having to create a physical model, which requires financial investment.
