Summary/Abstract: The aim of the piece of research presented in the paper was to identify forms of cooperation between live pigs producers and meat companies in pork supply chains. The data analysis used information from the literature, data storage statistics and own research results from 60 companies involved in slaughtering and / or processing of pork in 2015. Research showed that cooperation in the supply chain brings measurable benefits for all its participants. The supply chain of pork in Poland is characterized by a big fragmentation of entities. The cooperation between live pigs producers and meat companies is usually the nature of a contract for the delivery of a specified number of porkers or contracts for fattening of pigs. The most important forms of cooperation include: advising farmers in the organization of live pigs production, help in buying piglets and organization of training. Some companies promote cooperation with suppliers through the addition of a bonus for the supplied live pork.
