The Risk Awareness Among Mobile Banking Users

Summary/Abstract: Currently, the development of new information technologies is growing. Increasingly, such innovative solutions are being used by banks that are able to introduce new products and services through innovative electronic communications channels. This is connected with the increase in banking risk, which affects the security of banking information systems and related infringement attempts. The aim of this article is to present the risks associated with the use of mobile banking applications by students of Lublin universities, with particular regard to the security awareness of this channel of access to banking services. The theoretical bases were based on the literature of the subject and domestic and foreign reports on the problems of the mobile banking market. The risk resulting from the numerous risks to which mobile banking users are exposed can be effectively mitigated by the technical solutions used today and by adherence to the elementary security principles.
