Coordination Agility in the Public Safety Management Networks

Summary/Abstract: Agility is crucial in the process of coordinating operations in the public safety management networks due to the need to consolidate the forces and resources of many organizations carrying out activities within their capabilities, under specific conditions and based on the information obtained from various sources. Organizations in these networks are required to be adaptable, flexible and fast. However, the issue of coordination agility is a rare research subject. This article is an attempt to fill this research gap by identifying determinants of coordination agility in the public safety management networks. This goal was achieved based on the analysis of the subject literature, questionnaire surveys and discussions among experts.
