EFFECTIVENESS OF PRODUCTION RESOURCE MANAGEMEMENT IN FARMS FOCUSED ON PIG PRODUCTION

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the study is to evaluate the efficiency of production resources management in farms focused on pig production in comparison to the results of all agricultural holdings that were covered by agricultural accounting in the FADN system in 2013-2015. The comparative analysis covered the equipment of surveyed farms with production resources, production intensity, production results achieved and productivity of production factors, costs incurred, income obtained and profitability of resources of these groups of farms. Analyses presented in the study indicate a significantly higher level of production and economic results as well as resource productivity in farms specializing in the production of pig livestock. On the other hand, their final results and the profitability of resources were not so much higher, because subsidies to the activity of farms had a smaller share in the income of farms focused on pig farming.
