Summary/Abstract: This article aims to assess whether the growing labour force diversity in Polish organisations can become a remedy for a shortage of native workers in the national labour market and to identify the HRM diversity instruments that support acquisition, retention and effective use of the foreigners employed in enterprises in Poland. In view of increasing number of inhibitors of labour market activity of working age population, human capital of immigrants is becoming more and more precious for the business. However, growing share of foreign labour force among workers in an organization increases a risk for smooth functioning of the business. The risk results from disturbances in interpersonal communication, lowering the morale of native workers, disintegration of the organization, escalation of conflicts and diminishing productivity of work. To prevent them, a business can implement diversity management tools, such as the information policy, training policy, and proper work organization.
