Summary/Abstract: The article comments on the first Cyrillic incunabula printed in the 15th century in Krakow by Schweipold Fiol. An interesting parallel from a historical point of view could be drawn connected with the motives about the first translations of Cyril’s works as well as Fiol’s motives about publishing his books. There is also the matter concerning the publishing of Orthodox liturgy books in the capital of Catholic Poland by the Catholic Fiol. An attempt has been made trying to find out whether the printer’s project has any connection with the first translations of Cyril and Methodius’s works.
