THE INFLUENCE OF PROCESS OF GLOBALIZATION AND REGIONAL INTEGRATION ON THE MEANING OF THE STATE IN ECONOMY

Summary/Abstract: Globalization processes redefine the role played by countries, that apart from managing their traditional tasks, should also be aware of the necessity of fulfilling new ones. One of them is a struggle for decreasing the disproportions among particular countries, nations and social groups. Another new task is defining long-term actions in addition to the country and its economy, as well as short-term ones when it comes to market. In this paper, the influence of process of globalization and regional integration on meaning of the state in the economy has been discussed. It draws our attention to the fact, that not all influences are desirable and unavoidable and reminds that there already exist verified instruments that can help us reduce some undesirable effects of globalization.
