Summary/Abstract: The paper presents some of the aspects concerning the restoration of a princely chair from the patrimony of the Museum of History and Archaeology Prahova, Ploiesti city. The ornamentation of the princely chair is inspired from the Romanian folklore and was deteriorated by action of the xylophagous insects. Due to this, the wood is brittle one leg and some of the ornaments are lost. These elements were restored by analogy with other present symmetrical elements.
