THE NEW REGIONALISM – THE WAY OF FUNCTIONING LOCAL AND REGIONAL AUTHORITIES IN THE 21ST CENTURY

Summary/Abstract: In the article, an explanation of the basis of the new regionalism had been presented as a way of regional authority governance. Moreover, the paper includes characteristics of elements of the new regionalism, as follows: the concept of learning economy and the flexicurity concept. The relationship between the new regionalism and concepts mentioned above is visible through the cooperation among institutions, organizations and companies.
