Summary/Abstract: The essence of an aging society is a challenge for many European countries, including Poland. An increasing percentage of people in the post‑working age is inclined to reflect on systemic changes, thanks to which seniors will be able to continue to be socially active. Opposite these expectations is emerging a senior policy with a variety of activating tools. This article describes seniors’ descriptions, defines the scope of activity and describes a number of various forms activating older people, including: Senior Social Activity Program, Senior+ Program, Solidarity of Generations Program, „60+ culture” Program, University of the Third Age, Lublin Super Grandma’s and Super Grandpa’s school.
