Summary/Abstract: Personality of Lubomír Mátl, a conductor and professor, is perceived today, irrespective of particular stages of the development of my conducting workshop, more and more as an aesthetic monolith fascinating in its ideal shape, far from what was interpreted in vocal music beforehand. He is a conductor having a peculiar plastic imagination, drawing original visions and situations, the sense of which lies not as much in a higher order, as an individual system, its suggestive climate and colour. His interpretation of vocal and instrumental works strikes first of all with a strong shape and sound of music bands, is moving and unforgettable in its validity, blunt and suggestive in expression.
