Improvisation is a discipline combining the phenomena of the theory of music, history, stylistics, as well as an instrumental an interpretation technique. It constitutes an important component of the musical development of organists for whom this type of music activity is still up-to-date in a didactic process. The process of teaching organ improvisation starts from teaching melody composition. Further work concerns getting to know duet systems and mastery of playing with the use of two manuals and the pedal keyboard. At the same time, in the course of exercises, the students deal with tasks within the scope of different stylistics: the Baroque, Romantic and 20th century one.
