Summary/Abstract: The text presents the pedagogical thought of Giuseppe Flores d’Arcais. Pedagogy is according to him, science (exploration and study) associated closely with the human experience and creating and confronting theory. D’Arcais represented the pedagogy of the person. In his thinking about the person reveals the variety of aspects: on the one hand a person as a subject-hero education, a reference to transcendence or transgression; on the other, understanding person in the concreteness of action (action) and the historical behavior. Giuseppe Flores d’Arcais decided to present his concept of the person in the form of a geometric figure. The square seemed to him to be the best, as an idea of the person, because it gives you the ability to highlight the unity and multidimensional aspect at the same time. Vertices of the square are: I (interiority), S (socialization), T (theory-science) and P (practice: to act, to do). In the center, in the middle of the square (at the intersection of diagonals) is U (uomo) man, the human person. In the center, because a person is a hero, creator and judge. When a person is growing, changing, becoming more and more a person the square recalls a pyramid.
