Summary/Abstract: The aim of the study is to determine the opinion of the 6th grade students who attended the excursion in the Izmir Sasalı Natural Life Park, which is one the informal learning environments, about science learning in informal learning environments. The survey took place within the context of the unit 'Reproduction, Growth and Development in Living Things' with 20 students from the 6th grade who study at an elementary school in Izmir province in 2017-2018 academic year. In this survey, semi-structured interview, which is one of the qualitative data collection tools, is used. To be able to get students' opinion about the science learning in Sasalı Natural Wildlife Park, interviews were held before and after the excursion. At the same time, researchers accompanied students during the excursion and took photos about the students’ behaviors. The data is analyzed with content analysis methods and the themes are visualized by Nvivo12. According to the data obtained by students’ opinions, we reached the conclusion that informal learning environments provide more permanent and visual learning opportunity than classroom environment.
