Summary/Abstract: During the years 1869-1918, by its geostrategic settlement, with the addition of the relief forms in which it is located, the Furceni Military Camp provided to the Romanian army the necessary support both for combat exercises and military manoeuvres, as well as for quartering troops that fought during the First World War on the left bank of the Sereth river. The political and military personalities, who have worked in this camp, the number and extent of military exercises and manoeuvres deployed here, the success of troops on the battlefield in both the War of Independence of Romania and World War I, clearly demonstrate its efficiency.
