Summary/Abstract: It is known that people bring culture to the point where they can exist in nature and meet their needs. The relationship between man and space is influential in shaping the way of life according to the geography where man lives. There is a strong relationship between culture and geography, along with many factors affecting the formation of cultures. Reflections of this relationship arise when folklore products are examined. The Black Sea region is at the forefront of the regions where cultural and geographical relations are important given by folklore. The region, which is torn by deep valleys along a long shoreline, has laid the groundwork for the creation of different areas of interaction within it. A folklore product that is produced in the region, the shape, content, purpose of use and such can acquire a dimension that can be evaluated separately in terms of directions. In this respect, it is observed that the kemençe (a stringed musical instrument), which has been confronted as a traditional music and dance judge in the whole of the region, has a structure that can create “ekol” in different areas of interaction. In this study, it was tried to determine the different enforcement areas and schools of the Black Sea kemençe the region on the basis of geography and culture relation. As a result, while Ağasar, Kelkit, Sürmene and “Rum form” styles were determined as school, the usage style of kemençe was evaluated under the title of “other regions” in the areas outside this classification. In the study of the basic criteria of geography, complementary criteria such as shape features of kemençe, cultural texture of the region and historical background were taken into consideration
