Summary/Abstract: Atatürk is a leader who has given importance to Turkish education and culture. Culture, as a fundamental element that provides integration and cohesion in a society, is the way of thinking that will enable the development of civilization. Education that makes these properties concrete with the help of instruments such as language, history, writing, painting and music is the most important transmitter of culture. On the other hand Mustafa Kemal Ataturk said that the foundation of the Republic of Turkey is culture and he has a duty of continuous work for this cause. Its aim is to ensure social cohesion and progress towards civilization. Therefore, in this article, it is tried to reveal the aspects of the above mentioned briefly. In order to ensure the integrity of the subject, after a brief introduction to the education system from the Ottoman Empire we tried to examine the relationship between education and culture by referring to Atatürk's understanding of education and the importance it attaches to education. Subsequently, the studies on the history, language and fine arts, which are the main factors that constitute the culture, are tried to be revealed.
