Summary/Abstract: Georgia, which was on the road of Mongol armies which were there under command of Ögedei Khan, was one of the most powerful military and economic forces of the region. Like many other states of the period, he tried to resist the Mongol invasions in Georgia. The Mongol armies, who set off in the time of Ögedei Khan, occupied and plundered the region in this first phase. Between 1220 and 1320, the Georgian sovereignty of the Mongol caused the closure of Georgia's “golden age” period, and Georgia has been occupied repeatedly since then. In this article; Georgia's first acquaintance with these occupations will be explored.
