Summary/Abstract: The present paper aims at analyzing the taboo loading of the English swearword fuck in Romanian. Swearwords are difficult to define as one’s definition depends on one’s sensitivity to bad language. The study begins with a semantic analysis offuck and the subsequent sections include a morphological and syntactic analysis of the taboo word.
