Summary/Abstract: The article looks at various elements of the technical infrastructure in Polish rural areas. It begins with assessing the conditions of agricultural buildings, their equipment and degree of ‘wear and tear’. In the next sections the authors review issues such as water supply systems, roads, electricity and gas supply and consumption as well as telephone and Internet access.
