Summary/Abstract: The article presents the idea that the teachers’ professional development is a process of establishing “professional self”, who goes through the process of self awareness of the student as a person. The main emphasis is the formation of reflexive skills, which, according to the author, are basic for personal and professional self-determination in the stage of academic training of student teachers.
