Summary/Abstract: One of the main tasks facing Bulgarian schools is the preparation of competent specialists who will be equipped not only with a system of knowledge, skills and habits, but also with experience in independent creative activity and personal responsibility, i.e. specific educational competencies.The goal of the present paper is to describe, with the aid of examples from school practice, our experience in forming some key competencies – experimental, research, health and ecology related, assessment etc. ones, by using reflective activities. The results of our work in that direction indicate that the inclusion of interactive technologies in the process of education is one of the most effective methods of forming the desired competencies in students.
