Summary/Abstract: Metapredicative operators are syntactemes which open one syntactic position and do not fill any positions opened by other expressions. Operators of grading are one of the main classes of metapredicative operators. The author, taking into account the relation of operators to the comparatives, divides the class into operators (a) which semantically exclude the comparatives, (b) which do not exclude semantically the comparatives and finally into operators (b1) which open a syntactic position for the comparative form and (b2) which are deprived of this feature. The paper contains a detailed analysis of the units belonging to the class (b1).
