Summary/Abstract: The author presents four fragments of ancient glass discovered in the ruins of a villa rustica (?) neighbouring the late Roman city of Ibida (4th – 6th century AD). The four fragments belonged to the following shapes of early Roman cutlery, from the 1st and 2nd century AD: 1. Honey comb decorated glass; 2. Lotus buds decorated glass (two pieces); 3. Vegetal ornamented glass. All three glass shapes are very well known and they appear in the nearside of military centres (castra) like Ibida, Durostorum, Noviodunum and Carsium.
