Summary/Abstract: This article aims at drawing a theoretical overview of the research in the field of the asymmetric power dispersion (a more comprehensive alternative to the well-known concept of asymmetric federalism). Several fundamental concept will be discussed in order to emphasize the general confusion and the necessity of a systematic revision of the theoretical issues.
