Summary/Abstract: Saint Simion Ștefan, in delicate religious climate, prints The New Testament in Romanian. He accepted the conditions imposed by the Calvin superintendent, transforming these conditions into something positive for the Church and the national culture, turning a negative into a positive. Because of this translation, the Romanian language will permeate faster into the cult. Simion Ștefan is the promotor of the affirmation of the Romanian language, of the circulations of words and neologisms. He was a hierarch filled with boldness, courage and ability, and his translations are a preamble of national unity.
