Summary/Abstract: Although there has been factual for many years on the Romanian labour market, but without establishing a legal way of carrying it out, the more frequent practice ofthis form of professional training led to the adoption on 17 July 2018 of Law no. 176/2018 oninternship, a law that was regulated as a response to cries from the labour market of youngpeople who needed a legal transition from the banks of the faculty to the labour market. Ithas been argued that internship is a type of work contract. Even though it cannot be deniedthat the relations between the intern and the host organization are similar to employmentrelationships, we are of the opinion that it cannot be a private contract, the internshipcontract has a existence and self- regulation right.
