Summary/Abstract: This paper is elaborated on the relation between ICT and shifts in skill requirements which have taken place in Central and Eastern European countries. It identifies the challenges and opportunities that CEE countries may face in forthcoming years as a result of growing importance of ICT in their economies. It discusses not only SBTC/RBTC/polarisation hypotheses, but also tries to capture the influence of offshoring, telework, and big data technologies on the future skills mix and labour market performance in the CEE countries. Keywords: labour market, routinisation of jobs, polarization, skills requirements, offshoring.
