Summary/Abstract: A woman entering into a marriage or partnership begins to perform many family roles, including the role of daughter-in-law. The qualitative approach was applied in the research proceedings. The research problem is included in the question: What is the reflection of women who have married or decided to live in a cohabitation relationship in the mid-adult period, about the relationship with the husband/partner's parents? The study used the individual case method. An interview was conducted with 31 women aged 35-42. The results of the research proved that the interviewees do not turn to their parents-in-law "mama"/ "dad". They use phrases such as: "please my mother-in-law", "please my father-in-law" "please mums", "please daddy", and even "mistress", "master". New areas in relations with partner's parents-in-law in the narrative of women are: care for the aging parents-in-laws/parents of the partner, less participation of partner's parents-in-parents in selected areas of marital/partner life, and gratitude that the son on the so-called old years will not be alone.
