Location of Marriage and Informal Relationship as the Value of the Intimate-emotional Relationship Created During the Middle Adulthood

Summary/Abstract: The issues raised in the publication have been placed in the qualitative methodology. The main research problem is contained in the question: Is the meaning and significance of the spouses or partners living for the functioning of emotional relationships created by people in the middle adulthood? In the study, which included 31 women aged 3542, the individual case method was applied. An interview was accepted as a research technique. For the advantages of a separate residence of a couple or a partner, the interviewees recognized the freedom (unlimited sexual intercourse, the ability to receive guests regardless of the hour and taking into account only their tastes or preferences in everyday areas such as renovation of the apartment or spending free time). The repertoire of the qualities of the neolocal residence also included an opportunity to solve marital / partner problems independently and to have the status of a housewife.
