Summary/Abstract: Ildikó Novák’s interview with puppeteer Rudolf Moca confirms the idea that the chances of Roma children are increased if they become actively involved in the life of society and thus make up for the losses of their socialization. In Moca’s view, theatre, including puppet theatre, has a major role in this process, because it educates. Any serious issues may be transposed into theatrical space and dealt with there. We can ask questions and even change things through this medium. The retired puppeteer of Roma origin frequently uses the instruments of forum theatre with groups including young people of Roma, Hungarian, and Romanian origins. Problems have to be solved together by all three ethnicities, “without any of them renouncing its own language, culture, and way of life”.
